What the day will look like
As part of an industry-leading team, you will assist with carrier payment analysis for proper payment and reconciliations, supporting carrier audits, while supporting and validating other Fin Analysts as well as analyze and implement additional changes and efficiencies within the accounting operations team reporting to the Sr. Accounting Ops Manager.
Drive improvements to current daily and monthly cash reconciliation processes for Affinity Insurance Programs recently integrated with Aon's latest digital insurance platform.
Partner with Financial Control to resolve aging bank reconciliation variances, identify inconsistencies, and create transparency
Support Business Units by investigating and resolving ad-hoc payment related inquiries
Primary contact for brokers, business partners, and external vendors to address policy discrepancies
Develop thorough understanding of Accounting Operations functions and make recommendations for process improvements
Partner with Business Units, Financial Control, FP&A, and other regional Accounting Operation teams to resolve issues and create transparency
Support monthend close process by ensuring information, produced by the various policy admin systems, is accurate along with providing commentary for any variances
Involved in projects, audits, and technology enhancement testing
Utilize analytical tools to identify trends including opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvement
Ad hoc analysis utilizing in-house financial systems and databases
Skills and experience that will lead to success
3 - 5 years related experience
Highly proficient in Excel
Self-motivated and driven individual
Complex problem solver
Ability to adapt in a changing and fast-paced environment
Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
Comfortable communicating and interacting with all levels of management
Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
Strong Customer Service focus
Ability to work independently and as a team
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Mathematics or equivalent years of industry experience
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $50,000 - $60,000. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
