Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Health Network - DHA San Antonio Market - Clinical Operations, Network 3 ICO Positions, under the policy guidance and direction of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (ASD (HA)). The mission of the DHA is to serve as a Combat Support Agency and lead the MHS integration of readiness and health to deliver the Quadruple Aim: improved readiness, better health, better care, and lower cost. Responsibilities Perform executive level support duties and analyses under the general supervision of the Chief of Staff/Deputy Director, Defense Health Network 3. Evaluate and analyze administrative programs to ensure the smooth daily operation of the Defense Health Network 3 - Front Office. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Director, Defense Health Network 3 - Front Office. Manage an extremely active calendar of appointments; composing and proofreading correspondence that is sometimes confidential; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas. Research assembles/edits/summarizes a wide variety of subject material pertinent to the organization. Establish internal procedures to secure and adequately control deadlines, progress reports, and directives. Receive high ranking visitors from both the military and civilian communities, to include members of Congress, press and foreign officials. Manage and oversee all contract employees assigned to the Defense Health Network 3 - Front Office, serving as the Contract Representative for the Department of Defense (the government). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes arranging complex and detailed scheduling requirements for executive leadership; ensuring compliance with regulatory guidance in all administrative operations; developing administrative practices for distribution within the organization; and compiling data from research and analysis for high-level reporting requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Clerical Information Management Organizational Awareness Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
