We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the communications industry, located in Fort Morgan, Colorado. In this role, you will be performing various accounting tasks such as maintaining accounts payable and receivable, data entry, and invoice matching. This role will also involve supporting the general accounting practices of the company, including account reconciliation and month-end closing procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately match invoices to purchase orders or vouchers as part of the company's accounts payable procedures.

• Assist in the process of accounts payable and accounts receivable to maintain the company's financial records.

• Identify and rectify discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts. Prepare correction documents as required.

• Assist in general accounting duties such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects.

• Support accounts receivable by processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipt, and assisting with the collection of past due balances.

• Support accounts payable through invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices, and disbursement filing.

• Post financial information to journals and ledgers as part of the company's financial record-keeping processes.

• Assemble documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes.

• Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of an assortment of sources.

• Use skills in Dynamics GP, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Inventory Records, Reconcile Inventory, and Purchasing Procurement to effectively perform accounting duties.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting clerk role or similar position within the communications industry

• Proficiency in using Dynamics GP software for accounting tasks

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing

• Demonstrated ability to manage billing processes efficiently and accurately

• Experience with maintaining inventory records and reconciling inventory discrepancies

• Familiarity with purchasing procurement processes and best practices

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive financial information.
