SAIC Special Security Officer - Level II in FORT MEADE, Maryland

Description

SAIC is seeking a Sr. Special Security Officer to support our customer at Ft. Meade in Maryland.

The successful candidate will be supporting the management and oversight of a comprehensive Special Compartmented Information (SCI) program by maintaining security files and forms including, but not limited to, foreign national association reports, unofficial travel requests, investigation packages, and security accreditation investigation packages, and other appropriate day to day security support to SCIF operations.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Using knowledge of commonly applied personnel security principles, concepts, and methodologies in carrying out a variety of support assignments.

  • Managing a wide variety of personnel security functions related to in-processing and out-processing of command affiliates.

  • Exhibiting an in-depth level of knowledge of all security oversight publications, instructions, and guides

  • Possesses practical knowledge and experience with the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and Scattered-Castles.

  • Contributing substantive content to the development and implementation of security policies

  • Initiating action towards accomplishing assignments and assists in furthering progress toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives.

  • Possessing the ability to establish effective professional relationships with senior military leadership, civilian leaders, coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.

  • Knowledgeable of physical security and SAP/STO procedures and operating systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Working knowledge of security oversight publications, instructions and guides.

  • Developing draft security policies and contributes to the implementation of security policies.

  • Working with senior military and civilian leaders.

  • Making and implementing recommendations to ensure security compliance with policy and security guidance documents.

Required Security Clearance:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph
