ManTech Legacy Test Engineer in Fort Detrick, Maryland

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Test Engineer to support a pivotal Defense Health Agency (DHA) program within our Health Portfolio. This role serves as a senior member of the team reporting to the Legacy Test Engineer supporting Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), Narcotics Ordering Review and Approval (NORA), and Joint Medical Asset Repository (JMAR).

The program is based in Fort Detrick, Maryland. This is a hybrid position - working on-site three days per week. Expanded telework options may be available depending on location or on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare comprehensive Test Plans, Test Scripts, Test Scenarios, Test Designs, and Test Cases for both Manual and Automation testing.

  • Execute Integration testing, Functional testing, Regression testing, and Performance/Stress testing.

  • Provide functional and technical testing solutions for complex systems, adhering to SAFe and Agile development methodologies.

  • Engage in defect reporting and tracking using Serena Business Manager (SBM) and other software tools.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Configuration Management, Database Administration, Development, and Business Analysts.

  • Analyze system requirements and concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plans and procedures.

  • Prepare for and conduct data collection and analysis, and report status and results.

  • Develop evaluation and test plans and procedures.

  • Support the development of test and evaluation documentation.

  • Support the LogiCole team and external test organizations to support T&E program integration.

  • Provide specialized testing and evaluation capabilities tailored to system functions.

  • Coordinate with cross-project teams and external partners to conduct interface/integration testing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and trade-off analysis skills.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or IT related field / or 4 years of related experience.

  • Proficient with software applications, to include SAP Business Objects/Business Intelligence, MS Teams, and MS Office.

  • Proficient with validating data/universes and role-based access for SAP Business Objects/Business Intelligence reports and queries.

  • Experienced with Oracle databases.

  • Knowledgeable in configuration management tools: JIRA, Confluence, PVCS, SBM, and Git.

  • Ability to solve a range of problems independently.

  • Ability to produce clear and concise test documentation and reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Defense Medical Logistics – Enterprise Solution (DML-ES), particularly the DMLSS, NORA, and JMAR systems.

  • Certified ISTQB Tester.

  • Certified Google IT Support Professional.

  • Strong collaboration skills at all organizational levels.

  • Multi-tasking abilities with a proven track record of meeting stringent deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills and team player.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in converting legacy systems to modern technologies.

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must be a US Citizen and eligible to obtain Public Trust Suitability. Will be subject to a Tier 3 investigation for CAC eligibility only.

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

The projected compensation range for this position is $73,500-$122,600. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
