Intel Senior DevOps engineer in Fort Collins, Colorado

Job Description

You will be part of dedicated software team who will be responsible for designing a scalable, secure, high performance core service layer, integrating it with the cloud orchestration and monitoring, authoring the code and automating the deployment.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates

Minimum qualifications

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related degree and 5+ years of experience -OR- a Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 2+ years of experience in:

  • DC L2 and L3 devices administration: switches and routers (Arista EOS, Cisco IOS, Sonic is a plus. Tofino-based switches - big plus)

  • Linux networking (L2-L3) - admin, automation

  • network h/w: NICs (100GE - E810, ConnectX), SmartNICs is a plus (IPU) and DC interconnects (fiber/copper)

  • Linux admin (Ubuntu, CentOS, SuSE - optional, good to have)

  • scripting (Bash, Python)

  • REST APIs and tools (e.g., Postman)

  • SCM (GitHub), CI/CD (Jenkins)

  • This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to work across multiple disciplines

  • Working experience with Kubernetes/containers (docker)

  • Troubleshooting skills (within respective domains and across)

  • Server platform knowledge (BIOS, Redfish, BMC) - configuration, maintenance

  • Experience with SDN technologies (OVS, VxLAN)

  • Practical knowledge with K8s/container networking (CNIs, network policies)

  • Monitoring and telemetry (Grafana, Prometheus)

  • Go Programming Language experience

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, California: $123,419.00-$185,123.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
