ARCH - Cutting Tools Quality Inspection - CNC Machining in Flushing, Michigan
Summary
The Quality team oversees all inspection activities including incoming, in-process and final inspections to ensure final product meets all company and customer requirements. Reading blueprint, using hand tools and surface plates as well as CMM's are required. Will also complete inspection reports and other required documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Perform inspection(s) of products to determine conformance to all specifications.

``` - Utilize various measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, gages, etc. - Understand and perform to all current quality standards. - Prepare and update Company and Customer inspection records as required. - Communicate inspection results effectively with co-workers and supervisors. - Understand and use concepts like absolute position, geometric tolerance and stack-up. - Use basic statistical techniques for evaluation of measurement data and trending. - Basic understanding of machining to support findings to the production floor. - Perform safe operation of machines or equipment used. - Accurately completes all required paperwork. - Keep work area clean and organized. - Support plant safety procedures
Competencies:
- Previous experience in a machine shop working with CNC machines
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) & blueprint reading
- Previous experience in inspection
- Strong understanding of quality procedures and documentation
- Communication Skills -- able to articulate quality issues to team members
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour
