As our Sheet Metal Specialist– you will report to the Production Supervisor. Provide detailed feedback for correction of error or discrepancies of documentation, BOM, routing and/or prints. Deliver documentation of sheet metal process to scheduler upon completion. Manufacture components in accordance with routing, work order, verbal and written instructions, prints sketches, charts, tables and other information relative to the work at hand. Perform and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures. Responsible for de burring and polishing of parts upon completion. Perform self inspection and test of equipment upon completion of job. Operate a variety of sheet metal equipment (shears, brakes, saws) manual and CNC. Raw materials and inventory used to complete sheet metal process are accurately reported. Equipment and tooling used during sheet metal process is thoroughly cleaned and stored at the end of each production day. Equipment used in production is checked prior to and following use to ensure proper working condition. Required maintenance is performed as needed to maintain in good working condition. Move and transport finished goods in the performance of job responsibilities using proper material handling techniques. Detect and report faulty or improper operation of equipment and/or questionable or unusual conditions. Complete documentation and inventory are submitted and approved by the inspection department. This positions is considered as "safety sensitive" thus employee may be subject to random testing. Requirements for the role 3 years experience on manual machining equipment (lathe, mill, drill) High School Diploma or G.E.D. Work from detailed prints/drawings, verbal instruction, & shop arithmetic including decimals and fractions. You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
