Job Description

The Director, Schizophrenia Monotherapy Lead will prepare the go-to-market plan for a novel schizophrenia treatment in the United States. Primary responsibilities include leading: (1) refinement of the monotherapy opportunity and sharpening the competitive value proposition, (2) positioning the product and creating a compelling brand story and evidence plan, (3) creation of messaging, tactics, and programs, (4) launch planning and execution, and (5) career development of a team of marketers that will grow as the product progresses through key milestones towards launch.

Reporting to the Schizophrenia Planning Lead, the Monotherapy Lead will also co-lead the cross-functional Integrated Brand Team (IBT), collaborating with multiple teams, including R&D, Market Access, and Patient Services drive both launch planning and execution.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of the strategic and tactical launch plans for the US monotherapy indication

  • Lead delivery of best-in-class messaging, tactics, and marketing programs in a highly competitive market

  • Design and shape evidence generation plans in partnership with R&D colleagues

  • Participate in cross-functional governance meetings, including launch prep and follow-up activities

  • Develop compelling presentations to convey strategies to broad sets of stakeholder audiences, including senior executives, cross-functional leadership teams, and cross-functional partners for understanding and support of launch and development plans

  • Management of a growing team of direct and expanded reports and an increasing budget as the product nears launch

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required; MBA preferred

  • At least 10 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare marketing experience; psychiatry or mental health care-focused marketing or consulting experience strongly preferred

  • Significant experience with launch planning, either new products or new indications

  • Strong analytical and strategic marketing skills

  • A successful track record of ascending responsibility

  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate ideas & make the complex easy for others to understand.

  • Builds strong relationships with peers and cross functional partners

  • Executes highly effective working team meetings with internal and external partners and is visibly inclusive and transparent.

  • Works collaboratively and proactively, maintains high degree of planning, coordination & project management skills, demonstrated ability to problem solve & resolve conflict with diplomacy.

  • Self-starter, learns fast, quickly grasps the essence of concepts, can change course rapidly where required, demonstrates intellectual curiosity.
