Lead Operator

Job Description

Candidates are in charge of maintaining the machinery. They will go into the systems, adjust speeds according to production, and maintain a steady flow of machines. They will also need to change lubes, oils, and tooling, ensuring everything runs efficiently. Assisting supervisors to help set up production for the day is also a key responsibility. Leadership and communication skills are essential as candidates will work with different departments and need some knowledge of computers to make necessary adjustments to the machines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain machinery and ensure efficient operation.

  • Adjust speeds according to production requirements.

  • Change lubes, oils, and toolings as necessary.

  • Assist supervisors in setting up production for the day.

  • Communicate effectively with different departments.

  • Utilize computer knowledge to make adjustments to machines.

Work Environment

This position is within a food manufacturing environment. For the most part, it will be cold (around 40 degrees as they make frozen pizzas). If candidates are in the bakery, it can be warm, but generally, the environment is cold.
