SUMMARY

Responsible for the management of marketing databases.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs data mining and queries of the database.
  • Prepares data files for importing and/or exporting to related gaming and non-gaming systems.
  • Performs database integration and data manipulation of player databases(s).

``` - Ensures the database includes only active and mailable accounts by developing daily audits, developing and implementing data entry standards. - Identifies and/or runs mailing lists (direct mail and email) as required from the database(s). - Provides consistent database activity status reports - Assists in providing support and input into all marketing and operational projects related to database. - Identifies inactive guests in the club database. - Maintains an effective database by cleaning up inactive and duplicate rate plans. - Marketing Analysis

REPORTING LINE

The Database Specialist directly reports to the Database Manager.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
  • The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational. And analytical skills required.

``` - Proven experience providing high level of guest service. - Experience with financial reporting, expense analysis, and financial statement interpretation required. - Must be extremely numbers-oriented and computer-literate, with superior spreadsheet skills, proficiency in accounting software highly preferred. - The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. - The ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to interpret data from graphs. - The ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. - Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. - The ability to write effective reports and memos. - Must respond to inquiriesor complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. - The availability to work all shifts.

``` - The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stressful situations. - Must be at least 21 years old. - Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company, including gaming license through MLGCA. - The ability to verify the right to work in the United States.

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE

A combination of an Associate or Bachelors degree in Marketing and two years of Casino Database Marketing experience are preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property. Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, sit, climb, balance, carry and lift to 20 lbs. Constant use of hearing, speech, vision (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception), radios, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Essential duties involve mainly working in an office environment and occasionally working on a live casino floor.
