Robert Half Staff Accountant in Fleming Island, Florida

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Real Estate & Property industry located in Fleming Island, Florida. You will be working as part of our team, focusing on maintaining the integrity and accuracy of all financial information and reports, as well as ensuring compliance with GAAP.

Responsibilities:

• Handle account analysis and account reconciliations

• Oversee the month-end close process including balance sheet variances and other ad hoc activities

• Conduct bank reconciliation and resolve reconcilable differences in a timely manner

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely follow-through

• Execute the filing of sales and use tax, property tax, and other compliance activities

• Identify, research and resolve problematic transactions

• Prepare schedules and provide documentation for the annual external audit

• Cross-train with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

• Implement and monitor efficiencies within the accounting functions

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements • Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

• Skilled in Account Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations.

• Ability to handle Cash Reconciliations and Credit Card Reconciliation.

• Expertise in Expense Reconciliation and General Ledger management.

• Experience in Month-end Financial processes and Monthly Account Reconciliation.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar.

• Experience in the Real Estate & Property industry is preferred.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

• Must have a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
