Who We Want

 

Miller Industries is seeking a *Software Development Intern *for our Flex Air Division. This Intern will work for the Summer of 2025 to support task/process automation and develop software enhancements for existing systems. Will also gather requirements and coordinate with team to figure out the best possible implementation. The intern will maintain and improve current, internal APIs and develop efficient and production ready software in a timely manner.

 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Must be able to translate business needs into system requirements.
  • Time management, planning, organizational, and analytical skills are required.
  • Must be self-motivated, willing to take initiative, and able to function effectively in independent and team-based situations.
  • Written and oral communication skills required, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to express concepts and ideas with clarity.
  • Understanding of software development process required.
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects at once and effectively prioritize tasks
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Proven strong contributor with the capability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with one or more of the following technologies:
    • Experience in VBA/.Net.
    • Experience in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Tailwind CSS.
    • Knowledge of task and process automation.
    • Familiarity with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code
    • SQL Management Studio
    • Ability to write SQL queries.

The position pays a competitive hourly rate.

 

What Requirements Are Needed

 

Education: Full-time student status in a 4-year program majoring in Management Information Systems or Computer Science, or related technical field is required.

Experience: Prior education and/or experience using Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code, Visual Basic, VB.NET, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL Management Studio.

Must be able to translate business needs into system requirements.

Time management, planning, organizational, and analytical skills are required.
