Job Title: CNC Machinist

Location: Fenton, MI

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Hours: 6:00am - 4:30pm, Monday-Thursday (No Overtime)

Job Summary:

As a CNC Machinist, you will operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience, including the ability to set up and adjust machines, perform G-Code programming edits, and ensure parts meet specifications. Proficiency with Haas, Mori Seiki, and Fanuc controls is required. This role demands a detail-oriented individual who can maintain a clean and organized workspace and reliably attend each shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC machinery with precision to ensure maximum production efficiency.
  • Machine parts and products according to drawings, specifications, and material requirements.
  • Adjust semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform progressive machining operations.
  • Ensure parts meet close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications.
  • Perform G-Code programming and make necessary program alterations.
  • Set up Mori Seiki 2 Axis Lathes.
  • Follow operating procedures and maintain accurate records in our plant management system.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Record production data accurately to prevent errors.
  • Demonstrate positive relations and teamwork in line with company values.
  • Assist in training new Machine Operators.
  • Identify and resolve tooling wear problems.

Qualifications:

  • Must have your own machinist tools.
  • Strong basic math skills and blueprint reading abilities; technical training preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an advanced Machine Operator on lathes and mills, or 1 year of advanced machine operator experience with formal education in machining and programming.
  • Strong understanding of CNC "G Code" programming and the ability to make simple edits.
  • Familiarity with Haas, Mori Seiki, and Fanuc controls.
  • Ability to set up and operate multiple machines efficiently.
  • Organized and reliable, with a commitment to maintaining a clean work area.
