Summary of Job Duties:\ We are seeking highly motivated individuals for a postdoctoral position available in August 2024. The Post Doctoral Fellow will provide support for various research projects and will be co-supervised by Professors Shui-Qing (Fisher) Yu and Wei Du. The research topics include but are not limited to: group-IV material growth via Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and Molecular-Beam Epitaxy (MBE); semiconductor optoelectronic device development; photonics integration technology. The successful candidate will mainly work on conducting research, helping in day-to-day operation of the lab, and assisting faculty to supervise graduate students.\ Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.\ Minimum Qualifications:\ Ph.D. in electrical engineering, physics, or material science with an emphasis on solid state electronics from and accredited institution of higher education, conferred by the start of employment\ Experience in semiconductor material property, optoelectronic device physics\ Willingness to and take initiative to learn new concepts\ Experience of CVD and MBE material growth\ Preferred Qualifications:\ At least five years of practical experience in semiconductor material growth using CVD and MBE, particularly working on SiGeSnPb material system and group III-V materials\ Experience in material characterization including X-Ray diffraction analysis, transmission electron microscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, etc.\ Experience in device characterization including laser and photodetector measurement
