Summary of Job Duties:

The Athletics Event Operations Coordinator supports and reports to the Director of Event Operations, in day-to-day operations. The Event Operations Coordinator will lead, supervise, manage, and develop student event set-up staff, setting and striking all events. Will review and submit bi-monthly payroll. Create weekly schedules, manage all conversions, and prioritize daily work plans. Ensure all facilities especially ones preparing for an event or post event are recruit ready. Checking facilities for loose equipment and materials/tidying up and storing them away, coordinating with custodial to ensure facilities are clean, and ensuring each facility always looks prepared for hosting guests. Aid in inventory control of all equipment and supplies. On occasion, supervise third-party vendors in ICA, Internal, and External events. Assist in Administrative duties such as managing student assistants hours and scheduling, calendar entries, work order tracking, etc. Act as Shut Down Captain to execute post season venue cleanup. Perform as Game Day/Ops Liaison for football, baseball, and indoor track, and Other Duties as assigned.Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Sports Management, Hospitality Management, or related field

  • At least one to three 3 years of experience in the sports industry or related field

  • Understanding of Intercollegiate Athletics

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite necessary

  • Strong Organization and detail oriented skills

  • Ability to communicate in all contexts effectively

  • Ability to solve problems efficiently

  • Ability to manage multiple and concurrent tasks

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
