Stanley Access Technologies seeks a self-motivated, results-driven team player to fill a Packer position at our Farmington, CT location.

Packer

This role supports the manufacturing and shipping process by inspecting, preparing, and packaging finished aluminum doors, components, and sub-assemblies for safe shipment. The Packer ensures that all items are properly protected, labeled, and packed according to prescribed methods to meet quality and delivery standards.

What You Will Do:

• Inspect and test aluminum doors, components, and sub-assemblies for fit and function using provided checklists.

• Remove door panels from storage racks and prepare them for packing.

• Package doors and assemblies, including jambs, thresholds, inserts, hardware, and screw packs, into appropriate containers according to prescribed methods.

• Apply protective materials, such as wraps or padding, to ensure safe shipment of products.

• Tape or wrap containers as required and apply appropriate identification labels.

• Pack extrusions and prepare them for shipment to finishing vendors.

• Open and store incoming shipments of extrusions as needed.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored after use.

• Perform necessary handling requirements of the job, including safely moving and managing materials.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address any issues or improvements in the packing process.

• Adhere to production schedules and meet shipping deadlines to ensure timely delivery of products.

• Other projects or packaging tasks as assigned.

What You Need To Succeed:

• Highschool Diploma or GED.

• Reliable transportation.

• Ability to work overtime as needed.

• Understanding of packing techniques, tools, and equipment used in the shipping process.

• Attention to detail to ensure that products are packed correctly and meet quality standards.

• Good time management skills to meet production goals and shipping deadlines.

• Ability to communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate tasks, report issues, and provide updates on progress.

• Ability to demonstrate manual dexterity; ability to use fingers and hands to handle, hold, or wrap materials; reach with hands and arms; twist/turn body; perform repetitive motions.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

• Ability to move/lift up to 75+ pounds, utilizing team lifting or tools to move packed items when needed.

• Adaptable and able to adjust to new processes, technologies, or production requirements.

Additional Detail:

• Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:30 pm - 12 AM. Overtime during the week and Saturdays when needed.
