Define and execute effective marketing strategies that generate demand for the same.Major Responsibilities:Lead the sales and marketing teams and provides guidance towards the achievement of profitability, service, customer satisfaction, and growth in line with Company goals, vision, and values.Oversee the day-to-day operations as well as the strategic direction of the sales and marketing functions.Establish plans and strategies to expand the residential customer base and enhance customer satisfaction.Meet marketing and sales financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Prepare and submits sales forecasts, performs competitive pricing studies, and thoroughly understands the competitive pricing structure in our marketplace.Manage all marketing programs within budget targets, ensures the maximum return on marketing investments and reports on program performance.Assist and coaches the sales team to generate leads and close deals.Create strong relationships with installation, service, and other key departments to ensure a unified execution of the Company business plan. Communicate regularly with these departments to discuss current trends and identify challenges and opportunities. Meet with sales and marketing teams to share this information and improve communication.Establish and implements departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with staff members as necessary.Develop promotions and sales tools that will assist the sales team in reaching or exceeding sales targets.Demonstrate a management style that encourages participation and ownership, along with a continuous focus on action, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and financial management.Develop product, service, and contract messaging that differentiates our products in the market.Communicate the value proposition of offerings to the sales team and develops the sales tools that support the selling process.Participate in the launch of new products and services and manages the cross-functional implementation of the plan.Perform market intelligence and provides related expertise and guidance on buyers and competition.Provide in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis and positioning.Develop the marketing strategy and manages the programs that drive demand.Work with corporate communications to develop effective communications and advertising.Work with the IT department to strategize and facilitate online marketing initiatives.Develop pricing and packaging strategies.Manage the NJRHS web site content and promotions.Monitor weekly and monthly sales and reports on the same.Strategically plan sales and marketing activities for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.Position Specifications:A bachelor's degree in a related discipline or other commensurate work experience.A minimum of 8 to 10 years of related experience.5+ years of product and retail services marketing experience is required.HVAC industry-specific knowledge is preferred.Customer-focused with retail business experience and manager-level expertise.Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties.Demonstrated success in product launches and end-to-end execution of marketing strategies.Knowledge of the internet and prior experience utilizing the web as a marketing vehicleExcellent communication skills which includes exceptional presentation skills.Self-driven with excellent planning and motivation skills.Excellent financial and organizational skills.Skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.* The above job description is reflective of the primary duties of this position and in no way limits the supervisor from assigning any other duties, responsibilities or initiatives as deemed necessary.New Jersey Resources is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
