Kelly is seeking a Controller to work with our client, an award-winning company in the fields of engineering and agriculture. The Controller will:
Lead the Accounting department with a specific focus on maintaining the strong financial health of the company
Provide financial information to management by researching, analyzing accounting data, and preparing reports
Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
Document financial transactions by entering account information
Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting data
Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
Comply with all federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
Maintain financial security by following internal controls
Initiate and manage financial and accounting software used by the company
Oversee AP/AR processes
Handle reconciliations and bank deposits
Investigate and apply for government grant programs
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related degree
2+ years of Controller Experience
Competency in Accounting software and Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience with QuickBooks and/or Great Plains would be a plus
Effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
A high level of attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently/self-directed and as a member of a team
Strong work ethic and integrity
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
Dedication to providing great customer service
Ability to quickly adapt to change and work with diverse customers
