Coordinate serving of foods to ensure quality output for meal services ensuring quality food & a sanitary environment are provided at all times. Is knowledgeable of & understands the needs of the resident population. Description Maintaining proper sanitation levels throughout the food preparation process, service & storage & of equipment & work areas. Utilizing interventions when appropriate to meet the needs of residents & the facility in accordance with current applicable Heritage, Federal, State & Local Standards, Guidelines & Regulations; & to follow our established policies & procedures as directed. Possesses working knowledge of serving fundamentals & follows polices that will effectively maintain food service program & services for Heritage. Is knowledgeable of & understands food related needs of resident population & serves meals for residents, employees & visitors according to written menu, production sheets & food handling procedures. Executes department practices, procedures, safety regulations, & maintains required sanitary levels throughout food preparation, sanitation & storage guidelines. Assists in dishwashing functions, sweeping & mopping daily, removing trash, keeping all work areas clean, & assisting in putting away deliveries. Receives, follows & ensures that all food service schedules are followed as outlined by supervisor. Assures that the kitchen areas & equipment are properly maintained for convenience & safety, & operating to manufacturer?s specifications. Reports & assists in identifying & correcting problem areas & equipment, &/or improvement of services, when applicable. Participates in programs designed for in-service education, on the job training & orientation classes. Adheres to department working hours, maintains proper attendance & punctuality, & completing assignments within guidelines set by supervisor. Is flexible & willing to cover various functions & shifts, working weekends & holidays. Follows OSHA regulations in bending, lifting, & using equipment. When applicable, wears &/or uses safety equipment & supplies, using proper mechanics while performing duties (e.g., back brace, mechanical lifts, etc. when moving or lifting heavy objects). Adheres to Universal Precautions & Infection Control Policies, including following established h& washing procedures, use of appropriate PPE & supplies when h&ling infectious materials. Keeps work area(s) free of hazardous conditions, i.e., grease/oil spills, excess supplies, equipment, etc., to assure that all established safety rules/regulations are followed at all times. Refers to materials safety when necessary & follows established policies governing the use of labels & MSDSs. Reports all accidents/incidents to your supervisor according to established procedure. Develops & maintains a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, & other departments within Heritage, to assure that all functions can be properly planned & maintained to meet the needs of Heritage. Drives Heritage vehicle for errands, transporting, or other uses as directed. Maintains the confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information. Reports known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure & reports known or suspected incidents of fraud to the Executive Director. Performs other job-related duties as requested by the Executive Director &/or designee to meet the needs of the residents & the facility. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Schedule Details: 40 Hours per week, Rot. Days, 11:30a- 8p, , E/O Weekend & Rot. Holiday.
