Do you have shipping experience and a sense of urgency with issue resolution? We are looking for a shipping specialist to gather requirements, plan, package, ship, communicate, and inspect all shipments. This role requires outside-the-box thinking and problem-solving. It also requires great verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external personnel. Although this second shift job is from 1pm-8:30, logistics never sleeps and may require work on evenings and/or weekends.

salary: $20 - $25 per hour

shift: Second

work hours: 1 PM - 8:30 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Perform counts and ensure all inventory for the branch is accounted for and reported

according to company policy

• Help resolve any discrepancies in actual stock levels vs. what is captured in P21

• Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and product numbers

• Work with Returns and AP to ensure accurate inventory is captured

• Manage cycle counts on a regular basis

• Monitor delivery schedule and customer orders

• Report any stock issues to management and place product orders as necessary

• Keep an accounting of depleted products and survey of un-useable products

• Perform stock inspection and examine items for defects or damaged stock

• Maintain proper inventory tagging and label stock appropriately in accordance with OSHA

regulations and company policies

• Maintain and update inventory records

• Perform other duties assigned

• Work mandatory overtime as needed

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 30lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time
