CGI is seeking a Project Planning and Control Analyst/Assistant Project Manager for a long-term, Federal project.

This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Program Manager, stakeholders and team members to gather project data and ensure accuracy of information

• Track project progress and milestones and provide regular updates to project teams

• Collect and analyze project performance data

• Prepare project performance reports and dashboards, highlighting key performance indicators and trends

• Continuously monitor and assess project performance to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement

• Identify potential risks and issues related to project schedules and propose mitigation strategies

• Provide support and guidance to project teams on project control processes and best practices

• Assist in developing project plans, work breakdown structures and schedules

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Due to the nature of the government contracts, this position requires US Citizenship

• Bachelor's degree required

• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• Proficiency in research and data analysis

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

• Advanced Excel training for financial analysis and reporting

• Project management software training (e.g. Microsoft Project, Primavera)

• Experience working with financial/accounting systems (federal is preferred)

• Experience/familiarity with RPA or other automation

• Experience with Agile and cross-functional teams

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85,800.00 - $185,800.00.
