Description

The Graduation Coach is responsible for supporting GMC students in both academic and student account processes. This position will be the single point of contact for students from their first term to graduation. The Graduation Coach will act as an Academic Advisor and monitor the student's attendance, financial situation, degree progress, and graduation attendance. This position will review weekly financial aid reports, quarterly course prerequisite reports, and quarterly student planner reports. The Graduation Coach will be solely responsible for working with students who desire to attend their graduation ceremony by discussing with them and supporting the Campus Director and Faculty in planning the Graduation Ceremony. This position will serve as part of the succession plan.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Student Engagement: The Graduation Coach plays a crucial role in student success by maintaining a well-managed Outlook calendar. This task allows the enrollment coaches to schedule Academic Advising sessions for students, with the first sessions being the longest to allow for 3-to-4-term planning.

  • Financial Aid Tasks: The Graduation Coach is instrumental in ensuring students' financial well-being. They follow up with students who have withdrawn, are owed a refund, are still pending financial aid, carry debt, and other related tasks. Reporting; Starfish Academic Flag/Progress reports; identifying areas of concern; facilitates DoS and Faculty with course scheduling

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

Required: Bachelor's degree

Experience

Required: 1+ years' direct customer service and/or professional workforce

Preferred: 2+ years' direct customer service and/or professional workforce

Skills

Required: Customer service, strong written & verbal communication skills, organization, intermediate computing/analytics

Preferred: CRM technology
