Regional Controller/ Business Unit Controller

A client of ours is looking for a Regional Controller/ Business Unit Controller with HVAC experience for a contract role. The ideal candidate will work closely with the commercial team, supply chain, accounting, and HR. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations within a designated region or business unit, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to drive business growth. This role will be engaged in the monthly closing and reporting process, reviewing actuals vs budget, and forecast, P& L analysis, and monthly operational reviews.

Responsibilities of Regional Controller/ Business Unit Controller

• Report financial data to stakeholders (local managers and corporate) in a timely manner which meets established deadlines and quality standards.

• Responsible for the rolling forecast and annual budget for the Payment Services Business Unit

• Process improvement focus

• Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.

• Collaborate with regional or business unit leaders to develop annual budgets and financial plans.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.

• Financial Reporting, Monthly and YTD P& L analysis vs forecast, budget, and last year

• Collaborate with Finance central team to implement new financial templates

• Prepare Monthly Business review materials for management

• Partner with commercial team to ensure sales forecast is aligned

  Requirements

Skills/Qualifications of Regional Controller/ Business Unit Controller

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

• 5+years’ experience as a Regional Controller/ Business Unit Controller or similar role,

• Experience working with Microsoft D365 is preferred

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required

• Knowledge in managing financial operations for a regional or business unit level.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to prepare Executive level Presentations

• Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Experience with monthly close process is a must
