Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Everett, Washington

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist based in Everett, Washington. This role involves managing payroll processes for a sizeable workforce, including union members, and handling associated tasks such as deductions. You will be joining a dynamic team in a fast-paced industry, and your skills in Payroll, Payroll - Union, semi-Monthly Payrolls, and Kronos will be essential for success.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee payroll processing for a large workforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Handle payroll processes for union members, adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines.

• Manage deductions from payroll, ensuring they are correctly calculated and applied.

• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing accurate and timely responses.

• Utilize Kronos system for payroll processing and other related tasks.

• Regularly review and update payroll records for accuracy.

• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.

• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations concerning all payroll matters.

• Assist in preparing reports for management on payroll matters.

• Continuously improve the payroll process, identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in a Payroll Specialist role or similar.

• Proficiency in payroll software, with a preference for candidates familiar with Kronos.

• Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processes, including union payroll.

• Experience in managing semi-monthly payrolls.

• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Commitment to staying updated on current payroll procedures and regulations.

• Relevant certification or qualification in Payroll or Human Resources would be a plus.
