Description
We are offering employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the Healthcare/NHS industry, based in Everett, Washington. As a Payroll Specialist, you will primarily support the Accounting department by ensuring all payroll operations are completed accurately and on time. This role will involve communicating with management regarding payroll-related clarifications, coordinating payroll and benefits activities, and potentially taking on additional accounting support tasks as required.
Payroll Processing: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including employee hours, overtime, and deductions.
System Maintenance: Manage payroll systems, resolve discrepancies, and ensure employee data accuracy.
Benefit Coordination: Handle payroll-related deductions and contributions for employee benefits.
Tax Compliance: Process and file payroll taxes in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
Employee Support: Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
Reporting and Audits: Prepare payroll reports and assist with internal and external audits.
Accounting Support: Provide assistance with general accounting tasks if needed.
Confidentiality: Protect sensitive employee payroll data.
Requirements
• A minimum of 2 years experience
• Demonstrable proficiency in accounting functions and payroll operations
• Proven ability to process biweekly payroll accurately and efficiently
• Strong skills in the use of payroll software
• Comprehensive understanding of payroll functions including wage deductions, benefits and tax procedures
