Our client, a major scientific supply company, is seeking an operator technician to join their team. As an Operator Technician, you will be part of the lab team supporting all other operations. The ideal candidate will have good time management, work well in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy staying active, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Operator I

Location: Eugene, OR

Pay Range: $17.00 per hour

What’s the Job?

• Execute standard operating procedures for basic labware cleaning techniques and lab support, including cleaning labware by regular and aseptic methods, stocking clean laboratory supplies, organizing laboratory glassware and supplies, and keeping laboratory benches stocked for manufacturing personnel.

• Follow all safe practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain cleanliness in all workspaces.

• Inspect all glassware for damage during the cleaning and restocking process and assess for repair or discard to prevent safety hazards.

• May include materials measurement, operation of laboratory equipment, and record keeping necessary to support manufacturing processes.

• Keep accurate and detailed records such as batch data records, work order documents, inventory system documents, data entry, and business system transactions.

What’s Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment preferred, but previous experience is not required.

• Working knowledge of computer business system applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.

• Ability to stand, walk, and be active for 6-7 hours/day while performing job duties, moving about in lab locations and between buildings on site.

• Ability to manipulate (lift, carry, move) objects up to 40 pounds.

What’s in it for me?

• $17.00 per hour

• Full time, 40 hour weeks

• Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

• Overtime is possible- but not required!
