SNOW COLLEGE Administrative Assistant- Student Support Services in EPHRAIM, Utah

Qualifications
  • Associate or Applied Science Degree preferred or verified secretarial training.  
  • Experience in working well with the public, projecting a personable/professional appearance and work ethic
  • Ability to work independently under the direction of a supervisor, assist and cooperate with co-workers, students, staff, and faculty
  • Familiarity with office equipment and proficient or willing to learn various software programs including Banner, Argos, and Excel. Proficient with social media
  • Ability to communicate well in speaking and writing
  • Ability to problem solve, be punctual and work under deadlines
  • Highly detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Professional experience working with college students in an academic support setting is preferred
  • Background similar to target population is preferred
Major Responsibilities/Duties
  • Serve as receptionist; first line of contact; greet walk-ins answer phones, etc.
  • Give outstanding customer assistance to all students
  • Reconcile all P-Card accounts
  • Complete and maintain all records for check requests, requisitions, budget transfers, travel requests, etc.
  • Order all supplies for SSS Office
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for conferences/professional development opportunities
  • Up-date and create program admission forms and publicity materials
  • Data entry of all program participants into Student Access database
  • Assist with Annual Performance Report for the Department of Education
  • Provide accurate information of college resources
  • Assist SSS Director and Program Coordinator with additional duties as assigned
  • Occasional weekend/evenings will be required
Additional Information
  • This position is soft funded through August of 2025. Continuation of full time status afterwards is dependent on successful grant renewal and amount of federal funds awarded
  •  SSS is a federally funded Trio program dedicated to helping 200 Snow College students each year. The grant serves low income, first generation students and individuals with disabilities. The goal of SSS is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of program participants, facilitate transferring to 4-year colleges, and foster an institutional climate supportive of their success.
