Job Summary and Qualifications

The Pharmacy Operations Manager assists the Director, Assistant Director and Clinical Manager with supervising the daily operations of the Pharmacy Department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to leading the Medication Safety Team, ensuring regulatory compliance and readiness, and also serving as the Pharmacist in Charge of Other Outlets (ie: Free Standing EDs). In addition, the Operations Manager will have pharmacist and technician direct reports, and will serve as an active member of hospital committees as designated by the Director of Pharmacy. The Operation’s Manager may be involved in other aspects of running the pharmacy department including but not limited to scheduling, staff hiring, arranging sick call coverage, leading staff meetings, helping with invoices and budget management, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy.

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Pharmacist in the State of Colorado

• BCLS/ACLS required through AHA or ARC

• B.S. or Pharm D. degree in Pharmacy. M.S. or M.B.A. degree preferred.

• Completion of ASHP accredited residency program preferred

• Minimum of three years managerial/clinical experience required. Previous management experience preferred.
