What are our expectations?

As a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for the creation of technical documentation and NC programs related to manufacturing processes, as well as ensuring such processes meet all safety and quality specifications.

What your day to day will look like?

  • Manage projects for the production and development of parts.

  • Produce the impact analysis (cost) of customer change requests.

  • Participate in the estimation of new projects and the improvement of process methods.

  • Support of multidisciplinary teams for the realization of projects.

  • Create complex manufacturing processes for parts and assemblies.

  • Perform numerical control programs (turning-milling multi-axis).

  • Interpret and validate technical requirements of customer designs and specifications.

  • Issue and manage requests for changes to NC programming and tool design.

  • Define tools for the assembly or control of parts in collaboration with related services.

  • Coordinate the introduction of new products and changes through strict and standardized quality processes.

  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing workshop and suppliers.

  • Implement working standards to improve quality and robustness of manufacturing processes.

    The tools you need to be successful

  • Degree or Diploma in an engineering discipline, Journeyman machinist, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

  • 1 year (minimum) experience in a manufacturing environment or work term equivalent

  • Proficient with CAD software, Catia V5 preferable.

  • Knowledge of SAP, PLM, Vericut, IMS, MSP, AS9102 (asset).

  • Solid understanding and working knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project

  • Teamwork, autonomy, good communication.
