Job Description/Position Overview:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
Export Control:
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Position Summary:
Verifies complex product conformance to design requirements. Develops inspection and surveillance plans. Provides feedback and recommends solutions to ensure process compliance. Performs preliminary review and disposition of complex non-conformities. Coordinates and conducts product review with customer during product or process verification. Identifies repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiates requests for corrective action. Provides expertise and leadership to customers and team members in all areas of product verification and acceptance. Under general supervision, assists and coordinates the daily work activity with the department manager.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans and prioritizes daily work schedule to meet department needs
Delegates work to employees and drives resolution related to problem work orders
Provide guidance and mentorship to other personnel
Assists in the hiring, training and motivation of associates supervised; implements training procedures for associates regarding inspections operation including drawings, prints, schematics and quality assurance standards
Responsible for first-line direction of inspections/quality assurance associates involved in the development, implementation and maintenance of quality assurance systems, standards and activities
Recognize posting errors by receiving department as well as incorrect data entry by Quality Inspectors
Identifies opportunities for continuous improvements
Leads the development and revision of certification procedures within the Company’s Quality Management System
Provides leadership to Pre-receiving personnel, Inbound and Outbound inspectors
Ensures inspector capacity is adequate to meet daily customer demands
Ensures inspected products meet customer and company quality requirements
Ensures that the Inspection department meets and follows documented Quality systems procedures and policies
Reports daily inspection metrics and take corrective actions to meet inspection goals
Primary owner of all corrective actions in respective areas
Change agent to promote continuous improvement techniques
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
6-8 years of related work experience (8-10 years preferred)
1-3 years of supervisory experience (4-6 years preferred)
or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience
Experience in certification procedures
Strong analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills
Required to pass documented color and near vision exam
Basic Understanding of Six Sigma / team concepts
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies
Working Knowledge of DFAR requirements, Vendor test reports and Customer Traceability
Understanding of Six Sigma / team concepts.
ISO knowledge
Proficient in the use of multiple inspection tools
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel and Power Point
Detail oriented, efficient and able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere
