Description

We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Endicott, New York, 13760, United States. In this role, you will undertake a variety of tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and data entry. You will also assist with cost accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and ensure all financial records are accurate

• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and promptly address any issues

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations

• Update and maintain the general ledger

• Prepare and post journal entries

• Ensure month-end close processes are carried out timely and accurately

• Utilize various accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and JD Edwards

• Assist in cost accounting duties

• Perform data entry tasks as needed

• Use Excel for various accounting tasks.

Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in executing bank reconciliations efficiently

• Solid understanding and experience with General Ledger management

• Demonstrated ability to prepare and post journal entries accurately

• Experience with month-end close procedures and responsibilities

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting tasks

• Knowledge and experience with Oracle accounting software

• Familiarity with QuickBooks and its accounting functionalities

• Experience with SAP for financial accounting and reporting
