job summary:
Will are looking for somene with 5+ years of experience with high voltage power electronics experience from product conceptualization to validation/verification. Must have expeirence with DC to DC converters and DC to AV traction inverters. Engineers will develop flight and mission-critical products for commercial and military customers. You will have the opportunity to help design and develop the next generation: Fly-By-Wire Flight Controls, Aircraft Engine Controls, Ground Vehicle Power Management Systems, Aircraft Electrification Systems, Advanced Air Mobility Systems, Autonomous Flight Systems, Flight Deck Systems, Cabin Management Systems, Weapon Control Systems, and Mission Systems for the world's most prominent commercial and military aircraft and vehicle manufacturers.
As a Power Electronics Design Engineer you will make impacts in the following ways:
Design, developing and production following of high-power electronics control and propulsion systems used in hybrid and electric aircraft
Conduct research, design, development, and testing of information processing hardware such as computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems, and electrical components.
Design new or modifies existing products, develops technical specifications for production, analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions, and tests hardware conformance to specifications.
In Controls & Avionics Solutions, you will have the opportunity to help define and develop the next generation of avionics - whether it is fly-by-wire flight controls, full authority digital engine controls, or power management & propulsion for future aircraft.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
6 or more years' experience in Hardware Design Engineering or Product Support Engineering
Experience in power electronics related design and development, including familiarity with DC/DC Converters, motor drives, gate drivers, analog circuitry, and magnetics
Motivated self-starter who has the ability to work effectively in team environment
Technical writing skills: capable of creating required engineering documentation
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience in power electronics related design and development, including familiarity with DC/DC Converters, motor drives, gate drivers, analog circuitry, and magnetics
Experience in full lifecycle development including component level requirements and design, component and system-level integration, validation, and verification
Ability to work with software and firmware-controlled power converters and power systems
Experience working in a high voltage / high power lab environment
Experience with design analysis tools such as PSPICE, MathCad
