Position Summary:Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is opening a behavioral health unit in the early Fall, 2024. We are looking for a full-time LPNs to join the team.

Primary responsibilities include providing direct and individualized care to patients alongside the Registered Nurse to include but not limited to:

§ Administers medications or starts intravenous fluids, noting times and amounts on patient’s charts.

§ Observes patients, charting, and reporting changes in conditions such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and takes necessary actions.

§ Answers patients calls and determines how to assist them.

§ Measures and records patient’s vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.

§ Provides basic patient care or treatments such as taking temperatures or blood pressures, dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas or douches, rubbing with alcohol, massaging, or performing catheterizations.

§ Works as part of a health care team to assess patient needs, plans, and modifies care, and implements interventions.

§ Evaluates nursing intervention outcomes, conferring with other health care team members.

§ Assembles and uses equipment such as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, or oxygen suppliers.

§ Records food and fluid intake and output.**

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:Completion of an approved LPN program and successfully completion the NCLEX-PN.**

*License and Certifications: *Must have a current NV LPN License prior to hire. American Heart Association BLS (or CPR program) upon hire.

*Experience: *A minimum of one (1) year working in an acute hospital setting required.
