Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Elk Grove Village, Illinois

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Senior Accountant in ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Illinois. The primary function of this role is to prepare financial reports and statements, conduct bank reconciliations, and perform cyclical audits. The successful candidate will also be required to travel to customer sites in North America occasionally.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze cash flow forecasts and compare them against previous forecasts

• Conduct weekly reviews of income statements and ensure accurate recording of daily transactions

• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and analyze spending against the budget on a weekly basis

• Control and process sales tax payments and exemption certificates

• Prepare weekly bank reconciliations and follow up on pending items

• Manage bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Maintain records of company provisions and amortizations

• Manage and control the company's fixed assets

• Register and control travel expenses for company employees

• Generate various reports as per instructions from the Controller's Office

• Assist different departments as needed

Skills:

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Knowledge of Month End Close processes

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP Requirements • Demonstrable experience in the role of Sr. Accountant or a similar position

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Extensive knowledge of general ledger maintenance and journal entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month-end close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Professional certification, such as a CPA, is preferred

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations

• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
