Position Summary: The Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for conducting daily cycle counts of inventory in our manufacturing facility. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate inventory records, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring inventory accuracy. The Inventory Cycle Counter will work closely with the Inventory Control Manager and other departments to support efficient inventory management and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cycle Counting: Perform daily cycle counts of inventory items in designated areas of the warehouse and production floor.

  • Inventory Accuracy: Verify inventory quantities, locations, and conditions against system records. Identify and investigate discrepancies and report findings to the Inventory Control Manager.

  • Data Entry: Accurately record cycle count results and adjustments in the inventory management system.

  • Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling inventory discrepancies by working with relevant departments to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized records of cycle counts, adjustments, and investigations.

  • Reporting: Generate and distribute inventory reports to management, highlighting any significant findings or trends.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving inventory accuracy and cycle counting processes. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing cycle counts. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse, production, and quality control teams to ensure seamless inventory management and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or cycle counting in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

  • Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficient in using inventory management systems and software.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs), stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
