POSITION: Math Teacher - 8th Grade
DUTIES: * Works with colleagues to develop lesson plans and instructional scope and sequence * Uses instructional data to develop instruction for daily use in the classroom * Develops academic assessments to determine student mastery * Develops methods of communication with parents/guardians regarding student conduct and academic growth * Develops learning activities for students that may extend beyond the classroom * Participates as an engaged member of the school staff
REQUIREMENTS: * Current Colorado Teaching License, or * Eligible for Colorado Teaching License * Highly qualified in Math
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: * Demonstrates mastery of and pedagogical expertise in the content taught; has knowledge of literacy and mathematics and is a content area expert * Provides instruction aligned with the Colorado Academic Standards and the organized plan of instruction * Develops and implements lessons that connect to a variety of content areas and disciplines; emphasizes literacy and mathematical practices 8th Grade Mathematics Teacher - Must be able to teach Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1
WAGE: $43,000-$62,000/annually
SHIFTS: 8-hour days/180 Contract Days
