POSITION: Head Custodian
DUTIES: * Responsible for general oversight of custodial personnel and facility * To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily * Supervises, evaluates, schedules, and directs work of site custodial personnel * Provides opportunities for site custodial personnel * Anticipates and resolves maintenance problems. Inspects facility and equipment, makes recommendations on staffing and maintenance * Coordinates janitorial activities with site administrators * May fill- in for absent custodial personnel * May respond to facility emergency situations * Verifies and submits employee time records to Supervisor * May coordinate building use scheduling and planning * Performs most custodial duties * May perform general maintenance and repair duties * Basic knowledge of the operation of floor scrubber, carpet scrubber, vacuum maintenance * Performs other related duties as assigned or requested * Electrical, plumbing and other related certifications helpful * Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, detailed correspondence, and memos * Ability to write detailed correspondence * Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations and building administrators * Has the ability to work co-operatively with supervisors and co-workers * Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's * Ability to perform these operations using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance measurements * Supervises, evaluates and directs the work of custodians, makes recommendations on employment decisions

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: * Knowledge of word Processing, spreadsheet, and time-card systems * Basic knowledge of the operation of floor scrubber, carpet scrubber, vacuum maintenance
WAGE: $18.00-$22.00/hour
SHIFTS: 8-hour days/260 Contract Days
