Koniag Management Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Logistician III to support KMS and our government customer in Elizabeth City, NC.

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) located in Elizabeth City, North Carolina provides logistical support for the aviation fleet for the USCG and other selected government agencies. This support includes depot maintenance, engineering, supply, procurement, information services, and acquisition project execution. The ALC’s Chief of Contracting Office (COCO) provides contracting and procurement support to every ALC product line and division. At the COCO’s discretion, Procurement Technicians will be assigned to various product lines and divisions throughout the ALC. These positions shall support procurement operations by assisting procurement personnel with administrative type duties and perform clerical and technical work that supports the procurement of supplies and services. These positions shall not in any way bind the government contractually.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
The Logistician III position shall oversee all aspects of the full kitting process to support Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM).
This position should identify areas of concern and provide the information to the Supply Division (i.e. Item Manager, Supply Branch Chief).
This position must be able to recognize supply (full kit) related problems/issues to collect necessary data and mitigate operational delays.
Record keeping is required with orderly files on hand including "due in" components. This position may be requested to take part in "Lean Events".
This position requires knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Integrity, dependability, verbal skills, and the ability to work independently as well as lead a team are required.
Logistician III Duties:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Attend daily/weekly Theory of Constraints Meetings, Issue Resolution Meetings, Full Kit Meetings, and Industrial Team Meetings and shall report any supply/kitting issues that will hinder the PDM production schedule.
Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks, and service agreements.
Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements and minimize negative impacts on the Product Line and/or Air Stations.Evaluate availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products to maximize value and minimize costs.
Maintain and develop positive business relationships with key personnel involved in, or directly relevant to a logistics activity.
Explain proposed solutions to customers, management, or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations.
Stay informed of logistics technology advances and apply appropriate technology to improve logistics processes.
Estimate the quantifiable characteristics of products and information.
Estimate quantities, determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform PDM full kitting.
Responsible for proper receipt of equipment and material.
Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and make necessary kit adjustments.
Report full kit plans, progress, and delays.
Monitor incoming components/supplies to verify proper identifying documentation.
Maintain kit inventory status in Concerto as well as on respective cabinets and inventory control points.
Conduct quarterly kit reviews to ensure items are correctly identified (ale specific, supply candidate, stays on hangar deck, supply, I&E first, & Auto 6000 etc.).
Maintain two bins daily.
Organize and keep updated tag bible for all routed assets.
Answer inquiries regarding kit status.
Report information to managers or other personnel on back orders or delays with full kitting.
Develop training materials or process guides on all full kit processes and audits internally against them.
Protect and control proprietary materials.
Support the update of technical manuals (TMAPS) monthly.
Any tasks not listed above must be approved by the COR, Contracting, or Contracting Officer prior to commencement of that task.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Logistician III must meet all of the qualifications listed in section 2.1, as well as the following:
High School Diploma or Equivalent with 10 years of supply/logistical experience.
Intermediate experience in the following programs/software (preferred): electronic mail software (Microsoft Outlook), internet browser software (web browser software), Asset Logistics Management Information Systems (ALMIS), Aviation Maintenance Management Information System (AMMIS), Critical Chain Project Management Tool (Concerto), presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint), Word processing software (Microsoft Word), spreadsheets (Excel), and Theory of Constraints (Concerto).
