KBR is seeking a Space Acquisition Support Specialist in El Segundo, CA. The selected candidate will support the Space Systems Command’s Space Technical, Advisory, Research & Development Support Task (STAR DST) contract providing services to the Program Executive Officer for Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (PEO/SDACP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • The individual shall collect and consolidate program data to generate key weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports (Monthly Acquisition Report (MAR), Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES), Information Technology Investment Portfolio System (l TIPS), etc.) and administer and maintain knowledge sharing tools and repositories (ESBMC2 shared folder, ESBMC2 Wiki, ESBMC2 Sharepoint Site, etc.)

  • The individual shall support development of ESBMC2 Program Management Review (PMR) slide packages, Point Papers, Bullet Background Papers, and any other programmatic documentation (as required)

  • The individual shall develop responses (as required) to all programmatic taskers (for ESBMC2 Program Manager approval)

  • The individual shall provide support for management of all ESBMC2 contracts

  • The individual shall support contract actions such as generating Request for Proposal (RFP) packages, developing Performance Work Statements (PWS), facilitating technical evaluations, supporting source selection, and assisting with contract management

  • The individual shall continuously assess contract cost, schedule, and performance against program baselines to ensure early identification and resolution of negative trends

Work Environment:

  • Location: On-site

  • Travel Requirements: Minimal

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors Degree in a technical or business management related degree.

  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in government acquisition management

  • Must be familiar with the Department of Defense (DoD) space acquisition life-cycle management processes

  • Knowledge of the systems, organization, personnel, activities and capabilities of U.S. space systems

  • Understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

  • Ability to function in a multi-contractor/customer environment

  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Some travel is required

  • US Citizenship and DoD TS/SCI eligibility is required to be considered for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree is strongly desired

  • Acquisition experience at the Space Systems Command (SSC) or equivalent.

  • 10+ years of experience in software acquisition desired.

  • A strong technical background is desired with 10+ years’ experience in space systems, operations, satellite and special access programs acquisition

  • Understanding of Agile/Lean software development methodologies

  • Ability to create, organize and manage Sharepoint sites

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Basic Compensation: $170,000 to $180,000

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
