POSITION OVERVIEW

DEFTEC Corporation is seeking an Program Analyst. You will be supporting Director of Contracting in Space Systems Command's Military Communication and Position, Navigation, and Timing PEO organization (SSC/CGK). SSC/CGK is responsible for managing and delivering current and next generation space programs. CGK works with Integrated Product Teams to develop and deliver Middle Tier Acquisition and Acquisition Category (ACAT) 1 and 3 programs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply critical thinking and experience to develop solutions for our customer's most challenging issues.

  • Develop reports, briefings, and other communication products that summarize contract issues impacting programs in the Military Communication and Position, Navigation, and Timing PEO portfolio.

  • Manage information requests, inquiries, and tasks through completion. This includes facilitating coordination with internal/external stakeholders and staffing products for the Division's leadership and/or Program Executive Officer review/approval.

  • Perform research and analysis that summarizes DFAR guidance as well as other relevant policy and guidance to provide recommendations and/or potential courses of action.

  • Support customer meetings, which includes producing read-ahead materials, drafting meeting minutes and tracking assigned action items, providing logistical support to include submitting/tracking visit requests, and distributing meeting information.

  • Review documentation and provide advice to government customers to include acquisition strategies, Request for Proposals, source selections, and contract awards/modifications.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship and possess an active DoD Secret clearance

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • 7+ years of acquisition and contracting experience supporting Air Force and/or DoD Programs

  • APDP level II certification or PMP certification or ability to obtain PMP certification

  • Expertise using MS Office applications and software

  • Limited travel may be required

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Master's degree in a related field

  • Possess an unlimited contracting warrant

  • In depth knowledge and understanding of Department of Defense, Air Force, and/or Space Force processes and procedures
