ABM Industries Floor Care Technician in El Segundo, California

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Care Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various floor surfaces in commercial and residential settings. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: $19.00 an hour

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Shift: Monday - Friday 3pm - 11:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.

  • Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and extractors.

  • Apply appropriate cleaning agents and treatments to different types of flooring materials (e.g., carpet, tile, hardwood, vinyl).

  • Inspect and identify areas that need special attention or repairs.

  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.

  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.

  • Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in floor care or janitorial services is preferred.

  • Knowledge of various floor care techniques and equipment.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if required.
