Position Description:
This position is responsible for assuring smooth operation of the front clinic patient flow. Employees serve as primary contacts for patients and are responsible for scheduling appointments, preparing necessary paperwork before the patient visits, receiving patients, and maintaining records. In addition, this position may responsible for processing charges for clinic services, filing insurance claims, responding to requests for information from patients and insurance companies and maintaining related information for the department. Employees may be responsible for cash.

Major/Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for assuring smooth operation of the RMS patient flow
Employees serve as primary contacts for new patients and are responsible for scheduling appointments through CBIZ, routing documents through EMR, and importing documents from eFax system
In addition, employee is responsible for phone calls, transferring calls, and call log through the CXONE system
Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes
Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork)
Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution
Perform all other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:
Use of basic computer equipment
Learning of different Institutional software and payers website
English and Spanish verbal communication
Knowledge of medical terminology, coding procedures, CPT and ICD-10, billing functions, cashier and data entry
Familiar with Centricity Business, Electronic Medical Record, Phreesia, Referral Management System, Cerner and Avaya

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
3 years Customer Service, office or related experience with 2 of those years in a healthcare or dental clinic setting preferred
Additional education may substitute for the experience requirement
