Robert Half is partnering with a prominent construction company to find a dedicated Accounts Receivable Clerk. This contract-to-hire position is perfect for an individual with a strong background in accounts receivable, especially within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in collections, billing, matching, batching, and coding invoices, as well as strong data entry and customer service skills. Proficiency with Sage software is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable processes including collections, billing, matching, batching, and coding invoices.

• Follow up with past due vendor accounts to ensure timely payment and resolve outstanding issues.

• Enter and verify financial data accurately in Sage accounting software.

• Maintain accurate records of all AR transactions and activities.

• Reconcile customer accounts and address any discrepancies promptly.

• Provide excellent customer service in dealing with vendors and internal team members.

• Assist with month-end closing processes and AR reporting.

  Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in accounting or related field preferred.

• Minimum of 1 years of experience in accounts receivable, with specific experience in the construction industry.

• Proficiency in Sage software is required.

• Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and colleagues.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
