Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the resource management flight on Eielson AFB Alaska. This is a regular full time position. Responsibilities This position requires taking in cash, giving change, consolidating individual deposits from activities to one deposit for each fund for each day, balancing cash and maintaining cash internal controls. Maintains various computerized spread sheets. Prepares worksheets, statements, and closes accounts. Performs double-entry accounting work in order to maintain a combination of journals and ledgers, and post corrections. Cross trains for Accounting Technician and acts as back-up. Desired knowledge of procedures used to enter, modify, retrieve and delete information in an automated general ledger system. Desired knowledge in double entry accounting procedures and techniques. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, etc.). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
