Responsibilities
Accurately ship and receive materials
Store received materials in proper locations
Loading and unloading trucks
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Sort, tag and distribute incoming shipments
Report quality variances
Ensure pallets and loads are built correctly
Support inventory control with accurate documentation
Confirm inventory transactions are complete
Ensure all paperwork is completed to standard
Perform routine inspections on forklifts
Maintain an organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations
Participate in clean-up of yard and facility
Perform all other duties as assigned
Operate lifting devices (i.e. forklifts, hoists, elevating platforms, lift beams and swivel hooks)
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a warehouse/shipping environment
Previous forklift experience required, valid forklift certification preferred
High school diploma
Must possess a valid driver's license
Must be detail oriented and able to maintain high standards of accuracy
Knowledge of safe lifting and handling procedures
Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time
Ability to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 50 pounds
Ability to perform all duties in accordance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act
Ability to work independently
Ability to determine the correct tools and equipment needed to complete a task
Able to effectively communicate, follow and understand verbal and written directions
Ability to work overtime and on weekends if required.
All individuals will require successful completion of a pre-access alcohol and drug test.
