What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the process of acquiring land and environmental-related permits, authorizations, and agreements for business line operations as required from all levels of government.

  • Assist operations with compliance to all permits, regulatory and corporate requirements by regularly performing audits. Support operations with capital requests for environmental improvement opportunities, implementation of permit requirements, and ensuring regulatory reporting commitments are met.

  • Coordinate and support the acquisition and divestment of properties, including the due diligence, valuation, negotiation and capital request processes to ensure maximum value is obtained.

  • Monitor and manage all land agreements, leases and contractual obligations through the Land Information System (LIS). Work effectively with land owners and tenants to maintain strong relationships and ensure good stewardship practices.

  • Develop and maintain sustainable relationships with regulators, neighbors, local community groups, First Nations and other stakeholders. Direct public relations activities with respect to consultation and engagement relating to Heidelberg’s role as a heavy construction materials supply company.

What Are We Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and land management practices.

  • Experienced in application of federal, provincial and local regulations pertaining to environmental protection, land use, zoning and development, water rights and contracts.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proven capability in project management and strategic planning.
