UMPhysicians Structural Heart RN Care Specialist (Southdale Cardiology) in Edina, Minnesota

This Structural Heart RN Specialist performs both independent nursing and delegated medical functions, while coordinating with the team to ensure patient needs are met. This person will alsowork closely with the Physicians and/or Clinic Manager in larger or complex clinics to provide excellent quality of care for patients while maintaining good patient flow through the clinic. Our Fairview Southdale Cardiology Clinic supports a wide variety of patients with their cardiac needs. This includes preventative care, coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure, atrial fibrillation and more. We have a large group of providers that work closely with the RN's, clinical support staff, scheduling staff and more to provide excellent patient care. Southdale was rated #1 in the twin cities for cardiac care, and coronary intervention. What you will do as a Structural Heart RN Specialist: Leads and coordinates daily activities of work team to ensure patient needs are met Responsible for providers general cardiology work Assists in maintaining the PFO (patient foramen ovale) registries and coordinating care for PFO patients. Evaluates care and the patient's response to interventions and expected outcomes Demonstrates ability to deliver care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served (as applicable) Coordinates staff orientation and training Promotes team environment within department, other site departments, and other clinics What you will need: Bachelors of Science in Nursing Current Minnesota RN License, BLS Certification, CPR 5 years of hospital/clinic experience, including 3 years of specialty/critical care experience Structural Heart knowledge/experience of cardiology anatomy and physiology along with extensive knowledge in pharmacokinetics Good communication, organization and prioritization skills This is a hybrid working schedule.** Location: 6405 France Ave. S, Suite 200, Edina MN Hours:1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week Benefits:This is a fully benefit eligible position: Competitive wages, Healthcare (including vision & dental), 401K, parking & tuition assistance and more! #RN University of Minnesota Physicians (M Physicians), a non-profit organization headquartered in Minneapolis, seeks motivated individuals for both clinical and non-clinical roles to drive innovation in health and medicine.
