About the Job The Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Minnesota is seeking a full time American Board of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery certified/eligible surgeon at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank on the academic or clinician track (track to be determined by qualification and interest). The successful candidate must have completed a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship, have demonstrable expertise/interest in facial plastic surgery especially in the areas of Rhinoplasty, Facial Rejuvenation, Soft Tissue Reconstruction and Facial Trauma. The successful candidate will be motivated to build a broad practice and relationships with community physicians. In addition, enthusiasm for teaching residents, medical students and fellows is critical. He/She/They must be eligible for licensure in the State of Minnesota, and be eligible to work in the United States. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited ACGME Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency program. Completion of a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship. American Board of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery eligible/certified. Demonstrable expertise/ interest in facial plastic surgery especially in the areas of Rhinoplasty, Facial Rejuvenation, Soft Tissue Reconstruction, Facial Trauma, and Skin Resurfacing. Enthusiasm for teaching residents, medical students and fellows. Desire to work collaboratively with other specialties. Enhancing the knowledge foundation of the specialty through regular engagement in clinical and/or basic science research. Professionalism manifested by pro bono work and commitment to academic societies. Energy and passion to further develop and grow a practice both on campus and in a private setting. Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure. Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota. Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges. Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional collaboration abilities with partners and staff. Understands and places importance on patient care/service.
