Description:

• The resource planning manager is responsible for all aspects of long-term power supply, including portfolio analysis and resource procurement, and is also responsible for load research and forecasting.

• Operational:

• Apply critical thinking to job tasks.

• Direct long-term power supply strategy and development of sustainable member portfolios, including development of long-term resource plans, strategic plans, and member/community programs.

• Competitive sourcing and procurement of long-term power supply options.

• Negotiate long-term power supply contracts.

• Analytical:

• Long-term load forecasting (energy and peak).

• Evaluate programs, demand-side management.

• Assist with preparing various compliance reports and materials related to power supply, transmission, and renewable energy credits for the agency.

• Research and assess market conditions and trends to identify and evaluate long-term business options, opportunities, and competitive threats.
